Position: Sales Manager   

Salary: £50k-£65k per annum + car allowance + targeted bonus
Contract: Full-time, permanent (37.5 hours per week)
Location: Flexible WFH, with international and national travel.
Anticipated start date: April 2024

About Alusid:

Alusid proudly makes use of unwanted manufacturing materials that others discard. Transforming them through an ingenious process we give them a new lease of life. Our patented technology enables us to manufacture a range of high quality and desirable ceramic wall and floor tiles, solid surfaces, and other architectural products. Alusid’s mission is to reduce the impact of the built environment so not only do we make use of recycled materials to make our products - but our tile process reduces the amount of energy used by a massive 67%. Over the last 2 years we have successfully developed our technology to enable mass production of our tile products, and this has led to a dramatic increase in our production capacity and now the need to expand our sales team.

Who we are looking for:

A dynamic and confident salesperson, that is comfortable working on their own, using their initiative to develop leads and sales opportunities. You will relish working in an SME with high growth potential, you will be creative and keen to contribute to development of sales materials and collateral to help you reach your goals. Ideally you will have experience selling tiles, architectural or specification products. You will be willing to travel across the UK and to Europe.

The Sales Manager will be responsible for increasing product sales in ceramic wall and floor tiles following the completion of a recent funding round and will join the company at a crucial stage in our growth. The new Sales Manager will be charged with developing new sales partnerships with European distributors and relationship management with existing customers.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Maintaining the appropriate level of contact with the existing customer base, ensuring effective area planning to maximise call and closing rates.
  • Maximise sales for the business through the generation of new business by proactively targeting new customers.
  • Continuously analyse customer spending to effectively manage the product/service mix, pricing, and margins to ensure full range of selling.
  • Develop multi-level contacts within assigned key accounts to maintain strong relationships throughout the business.
  • Liaise with marketing to plan and support activities with customers and develop collateral
  • Provide detailed monthly reports for your area.
  • Provide analysis of competitors and monitor for new sales opportunities
